Pre-Conference Activities
All pre-conference activities will take place on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. Costs are the responsibility of the participant.

- Whistler Cloudraker Suspension Bridge - Led by Christine Jordan
- We will meet at the Whistler Village Gondola (time TBD - probably about 1:00).
- Cost is $85 (purchase online in advance to be safe). This gives us access to the Peak to Peak ride as well.
- There is a 0.6 km hike on gravel from the Roadhouse Lodge to the final gondola ride up to the bridge. It has a bit of an incline, and takes 10 - 20 minutes, depending on your fitness level.
- You do not have to actually cross the bridge. Beautiful views can be enjoyed from lookouts alongside.
- You can also choose to explore any of the hiking trails while you are there.
- Lake activity by Whistler Eco Tours - Led by Adrianne Harley
- Guided paddling tours include shuttle transportation from/to the office in Whistler Village, Drybag, Equipment Rental, Experienced Guide, and a PFD (Life Jacket).
- There are 2 options available depending on what most are interested in one will be selected, Alta Lake (1PM , 2.5 hours, $89.99) or Green Lake ( 2PM, 3 hours, $154.99).
- Hike - Led by Galen Soon
- Where: Riverside Trail
- Time: 11:00 a.m.
- Difficulty: Moderate
- Approximate time to hike there and back: 1 hour 50 minutes
- Notes: pack a lunch, snacks, water, hat, and running shoes
- Cost: Free
- People can carpool if interested from the hotel
- Run or Walk - Led by Soraya Rajabally & Victoria Lorieau
- Activity: Run or Walk (5km/10km), distance is optional and any skill level is welcome (will be mostly on roads and in the village area--no craziness)
- Time: 11:30am
- Location to meet: Fairmont Chateau Whistler Lobby -- 4599 Chateau Boulevard
- Cost: NONE, just be comfortable and ensure you have comfy shoes
- Final destination: Purebread (coffee and treats shop) -- 1-1040 Millar Creek Road (in the village)
- Arrival at the final destination will vary based on when people are done their walk/run (between noon and 1:00 pm)
