Superintendent's Welcome

As we look toward our annual leadership conference to start this new school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible opportunity we have as leaders in the Abbotsford School District. Each of us holds an important role in shaping not only the future of our students, but also the culture and narrative of our schools and school district. 

The theme for our annual summer leadership conference is Leading Together: Building Brighter Futures. It represents a shared commitment to lead with purpose, compassion, and courage. It reminds us that leadership is not confined to titles or roles but is expressed in the everyday choices we make to uplift others, to listen deeply, and to act with integrity. 

One of the most powerful tools we have as leaders is the ability to shape the stories we tell about our students, our schools, and our collective journey in public education. When we choose to highlight the strengths in our school communities, to celebrate growth, and to share the impact of our work, we create a narrative of hope and possibility. These stories inspire others, build trust and teamwork, and remind us why we do what we do...the success of each and every one of our students. 

This year let’s be intentional about creating and sharing these positive narratives. Let’s recognize the acts of leadership happening in classrooms and schools every day. Let’s amplify the voices of students and educators who are making a difference. 

Together, we are not just leading—we are shaping a future filled with promise. Thank you for your unwavering dedication, leadership, and belief in what is possible when we work together.
